Windsurfing Novice Fast Track

The Windsurfing Novice Fast Track is a two-day intensive session designed to teach you the skills required for a Junior windsurfer rating. We will do two consecutive weekend days with schedule based on tides

Day 1 will include two land lessons and two water practice sessions with feedback. Day 2 will include a land lesson, a water practice session, and an end-of-class wrap up. As in other sports, intensive instruction will improve your skills rapidly.

Our focus is on covering fundamentals:

• Introduction to windsurfing equipment.


• Uphauling in various conditions


• Figure 7 sailing stance


• Two-step tacks


• Sailing upwind without a centerboard


• Pivot jibe


• Junior test prep

Attendees may already hold the Novice rating or may be brand new to windsurfing with the desire to progress and the physical ability to get in two practice sessions on Day 1 and another on Day 2.

Fast Track Times:

Sat 6/6: 10:30 AM-probably 6PM

Sun 6/7: 11AM-4PM

Please note that we may have to cancel this class if an upcoming club construction project is scheduled this weekend.

Note: This is the first iteration of a CSC windsurfing Novice fast track. If thing go well, we may try to schedule another Novice fast track later in the summer.
